SEMIH BURCU


Semih Burcu was born in 1983, in Istanbul. At the age of 17, he started playing the classical guitar.
He graduated from Haliç University Department of Classical Singing in 2013. He took lessons from
various musicians who are experts in their fields, such as:


Cem Nasuhoğlu (Harmony)
İlteriş Sun (Harmony and Solfege)
Tolga Bedir (Ensemble and jazz harmony )

Eren Gümrükçüoğlu ( jazz harmony )

Armağan Durdağ) ( Contemporary Composition )
Maestro Licinio Montefusco / (Singing )
Olena Şengül (Piano)


He formed a Turkish rock band named Avrasya. With Avrasya, he accompanied Cem Karaca.
He acted as the conductor in the studio process of the first Turkish animation movie: Evliya Çelebi.
He performed with Doğuş University’s Turkish Orchestra and he taught bass guitar lessons within the university.


In his professional music career, both on stage and in album recordings, he worked with many names, including:

 

Tarık Sezer Orkestrası, Ajda Pekkan, İrem Derici, Ufuk Yıldırım, Fatih
Kısaparmak, Şevval Sam, Della Miles, Gökhan Özen, Mustafa Sandal, Gökhan Tepe, Tan Taşçı, Sinem Aydıner, Suami Ramirez, Cem Belevi, Kahraman Deniz, Melek Mosso.


Semih Burcu works as a bass guitar teacher and an arranger besides his ongoing performances.
